470. Tosefta (addendum). Exalted, beloved men of intelligence, behold THE SOULS FROM THE RIGHT COLUMN. Litigants with a sailor stick ?, approach so you may know, THOSE OF THE LEFT COLUMN, WHENCE ARE JUDGMENTS. Those of you of intelligent eyes, OF THE CENTRAL COLUMN, WHO GAINED CHOCHMAH RECEIVED THROUGH TEVUNAH, know that when the wish came up of the mystery of mysteries to issue forth three colors bound together, the white, red and green, THE THREE COLUMNS, RIGHT IS WHITE, LEFT IS RED, AND THE CENTRAL GREEN, the three colors combined and mingled together. Then the lower shovel ?, THE NUKVA, was dyed and came out of these colors.

(תּוֹסֶפְתָּא) רְחִימֵי עִלָּאֵי, מָארֵי דְסֻכְלְתָנוּ אִסְתַּכָּלוּ, הוּרְמָנֵי יְדִיעָן בְּקוּלְפֵי דְּסִיכְתָא, קְרִיבוּ לְמִנְדַע, מַאן מִנְּכוֹן מָארֵי דְעַיְינִין בְּסֻכְלְתָנוּ, וְיָדַע בְּשַׁעְתָּא דְּסָלֵיק בִּרְעוּתָא דְרָזָא דְרָזִין, לַאֲפָקָא תְּלַת גְּוָונִין כַּחֲדָא כְּלִילָן, וְאִינוּן: חִוַּור וְסוּמָק וְיָרוֹק, תְּלַת גּוֹוָנִין כַּחֲדָא אִשְׁתְּלִיבָאן דָּא עִם דָּא, מִזְדַּוְוגָן דָּא עִם דָּא, מַגְרוֹפַיָא תַּתָּאָה אִצְטַבַּע, וְנָפְקָא מִגּוֹ גּוֹוָנִין אִלֵּין.

471. All these colors, WHITE, RED AND GREEN, are reflected IN THE NUKVA, a looking-glass mirror, SINCE ONLY IN IT ONE CAN SEE when it is crystal-like. When he struck it, THE NUKVA was seen outside. The three colors circle TO ITS RIGHT, LEFT AND MIDDLE; the color goes up and down. TO WIT, THE WHITE COLOR, RIGHT, GOES TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE LEFT; THE RED COLOR, LEFT, GOES UP, NAMELY SHINES FROM BELOW UPWARD; THE GREEN IN THE MIDDLE GOES DOWN, BY SHINING FROM ABOVE DOWNWARD. There are executioners in charge within Her, WHO PUNISH THOSE WHO DRAW THE ILLUMINATION OF THE LEFT FROM ABOVE DOWNWARD.

471. וְכָל גּוֹוָנִין אִלֵּין, אִתְחֲזוּן בְּהַאי, חֵיזוּ אִיהוּ לְאִסְתַּכָּלָא, כְּעֵינָא דִּבְדוֹלְחָא אִתְחֲזֵי בְּשַׁעְתָּא, כְּגַוְונָא דְּבָטַשׁ בְּגַוָּוהּ, הָכֵי אִתְחֲזֵי לְבַר, אִלֵּין תְּלַת גּוֹוָנִין סַחֲרָן לְהַאי, וְגוֹוָנָא אָזְלָא סָלְקָא וְנָחֲתָא, קִסְטוֹרִין דְּקִטְרָא קְבִיעֵי בְּגַוָּוהּ.

472. The colors that are connected which encircle THE NUKVA, raise Her up by day, and She descends by night. SHE IS LIKE a burning candle, WHOSE ILLUMINATION is seen by night, and by day it is concealed AND CANNOT BE SEEN. The light is hidden in 248 worlds, which all shine within Her from above downward into 365 parts, which are concealed and covered from below.

472. גּוֹוָנִין סָחֲרִין כְּלִילָן כַּחֲדָא, סָלְקִין לָהּ לְעֵילָא בִּימָמָא, וְנָחֲתָא בְּלֵילְיָא, שְׁרַגָא דְּדָלֵיק אִתְחֲזֵי בְּלֵילְיָא, בִּימָמָא אִסְתַּתָּרַת נְהוֹרָא, טְמִירָא בְּמָאתָן וְאַרְבָּעִין וּתְמַנְיָא עָלְמִין, כֻּלְּהוּ אָזְלִין לְגַוָּוהּ מִלְּעֵילָא לְתַתָּא, גּוֹ תְּלַת מְאָה וְשִׁתִּין וְחָמֵשׁ שַׁיְיפִין גְּנִיזָא וְאִתְכַּסְּיָא לְתַתָּא.

473. Whoever solicits to attain Her will break the wings WHICH CONCEAL HER and the hidden Klipot, and then open the gates. Whoever may look will behold with knowledge and intelligence as if from behind a wall, save the exalted faithful prophet Moses, who saw it eye to eye above, where it is inconceivable.

473. מַאן דִּמְפַשְׁפֵּשׁ לְאַשְׁכָּחָא לָהּ, יִתָּבַר גַּדְפִין קְלִיפִין טְמִירִין, וְיִפְתַּח תַּרְעִין, מַאן דְזָכֵי לְמֶיחֱמֵי, יֶחֱמֵי גּוֹ יְדִיעָה וְסֻכְלְתָנוּ, כְּמַאן דְּחָמֵי בָּתַר כּוֹתְלָא. בַּר מִן מֹשֶׁה נְבִיאָה, מְהֵימְנָא עִלָּאָה, דַּהֲוָה חָמֵי לֵיהּ עֵינָא בְּעֵינָא, לְעֵילָא בַּאֲתַר דְּלָא אִתְיְידַע.

474. Whoever did not merit it is rejected outside. Several battalions of angels are ready for him, to go out to him and escort him out so he will not behold the pleasure of the King. Woe to the wicked in the world, who have not the merit of beholding, as it says, "But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered..." (Bemidbar 4:20).

474. מַאן דְּלָא זָכֵי, דָּחוּ לֵיהּ לְבַר, כַּמָּה חֲבִילֵי טְהִירִין אִזְדַּמְּנוּ לְגַבֵּיהּ, אִזְדַּמְּנָן נָפְקֵי עֲלֵיהּ, וַאֲפָקוּ לֵיהּ דְּלָא יִסְתַּכַּל בְּעִנּוּגָא דְמַלְכָּא, וַוי לוֹן לְאִינוּן חַיָּיבִין דְּעַלְמָא, דְּלָא זָכָאן לְאִסְתַּכָּלָא, כְּד"א וְלֹא יָבֹאוּ לִרְאוֹת כְּבַלַּע אֶת הַקֹּדֶשׁ וגו.'

475. Rabbi Yehuda said, I was looking and, behold, through these lights, THE THREE COLORS, the souls of the righteous are looking. When they cleave to this place, THE NUKVA, the souls of the righteous look from among these lights. The colors, WHITE, RED AND GREEN, go up to be included together. Happy is he who knows how to comprise and unite them all as one, and correct all where it is needed to be, high above. Then man is preserved in this world and in the World to Come. End of Tosefta.

475. אֲמַר רִבִּי יְהוּדָה, מִסְתַּכֵּל הֲוֵינָא, וְהָא מִגּוֹ זְהִירִין אִלֵּין, מִסְתַּכְּלָן נִשְׁמַתְהוֹן דְּצַדִּיקַיָא, כַּד אִתְדַּבָּקוּ בְּהַאי אֲתַר, מִגּוֹ זְהִירִין אִלֵּין מִסְתַּכְּלִין נִשְׁמַתְהוֹן דְּצַדִּיקַיָא. אִינוּן גּוֹוָנִין, סָלְקִין וְאִתְכְּלִילָן כַּחֲדָא. זַכָּאָה אִיהוּ מַאן דְּיָדַע לְאַכְלָלָא וּלְיַחֲדָא כֻּלְּהוּ כַּחֲדָא, לְאַתְקָנָא כֹּלָּא בַּאֲתַר דְּאִצְטְרִיךְ לְעֵילָא לְעֵילָא, וּכְדֵין אִתְנְטֵיר בַּר נָשׁ בְּהַאי עַלְמָא, וּבְעַלְמָא דְאָתֵי.
