37. Come and see: When this "all," WHICH IS YESOD, KNOWN AS "KOL (LIT. 'ALL')," perfumes "due season," WHICH IS MALCHUT, which joins with him, all the world rejoices in blessings and peace is found among the upper and lower beings. However, when the wicked cause, that blessings of these streams are not present - NAMELY, CHESED, GVURAH AND TIFERET OF ZEIR ANPIN, and this season receives nourishment from another side, NAMELY JUDGMENT, then Judgments are awakened in the world and there is no peace. When people want to be blessed, they can do so only through the priest, who could arouse his Sfirah, WHICH IS CHESED. 37. ת"ח, בְּשַׁעֲתָא דְּהַאי כֺּל, מְבַסֵּם לְעִתּוֹ, וּמִתְחַבְּרָא עִמֵּיהּ, כֻּלְּהוּ עָלְמִין בְּחֵידוּ, כֻּלְּהוּ עָלְמִין בְּבִרְכָּאן, כְּדֵין שְׁלָמָא אִשְׁתְּכַח בְּעִלָּאֵי וְתַתָּאֵי. וְכַד גַּרְמִין חַיָּיבֵי עָלְמָא, דְּתַמָן לָא אִשְׁתְּכָחוּ בִּרְכָאן דְּאִינּוּן נַחֲלֵי, וְיַנְקָא, הַאי עֵת, מִסִּטְרָא אָחֳרָא, כְּדֵין דִּינִין מִתְעָרִין בְּעָלְמָא, וּשְׁלָמָא לָא אִשְׁתְּכַח. וְכַד בָּעָאן בְּנֵי עָלְמָא לְאִתְבָּרְכָא, לָא יַכְלִין אֶלָּא עַל יְדָא דְּכַהֲנָא, בְּגִין דְּיִתְּעַר כִּתְרָא דִּילֵיהּ, וְיִתְבְּרַךְ מַטְרוֹנִיתָא, וְיִשְׁתְּכָחוּ בִּרְכָאן בְּכֻלְּהוּ עָלְמִין.

147. בְּהַהוּא זִמְנָא דְּבֵין הָעַרְבָּיִם, כָּל אִינּוּן אֲלַף וַחֲמֵשׁ מְאָה וְתִשְׁעִין אֲלַף רִבּוֹא מָארֵי דִּילָלָה אִקְרוּן, וּמְזַמְּרִין בְּהַהִיא שַׁעֲתָא, וּקְטָטוּתָא שַׁרְיָא בְּעָלְמָא, וְהַהִיא שַׁעֲתָא אִתְּעָרוּתָא דְּאִתְּעַר קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא לְיִצְחָק, וְקָם וְדָאִין לְחַיָּיבַיָּא דְּעַבְרִין עַל פִּתְגָּמֵי אוֹרַיְיתָא, וְשִׁבְעָה נַהֲרֵי אֶשָּׁא נַגְדִּין וְנָפְקִין וְחָלִין עַל רֵישֵׁיהוֹן דְּרַשִׁיעַיָּיא, וְשַׁלְהוֹבֵי גּוּמְרִין דְּנוּרָא מִתְעָרִין מֵעֵילָּא לְתַתָּא, וּכְדֵין תָּב אַבְרָהָם לְאַתְרֵיהּ. כד"א, וְאַבְרָהָם שָׁב לִמְקוֹמוֹ. וְיוֹמָא אִתְפְּנֵי, וְחַיָּיבֵי גֵּיהִנָּם צַוְוחִין וְאַמְרִין אוֹי לָנוּ כִּי פָּנָה הַיּוֹם כִּי יִנָּטוּ צִלְלֵי עָרֶב. וְהַהִיא שַׁעֲתָא, בָּעֵי ב"נ לְאִזְדַּהֲרָא, בִּצְלוֹתָא דְּמִנְחָה.
151. As the head of the King travels, all move along, MEANING ALL HIS SFIROT, to join with the Queen and instill joy and blessings in the world.
180. תָּאנָא, כְּתִיב וְכִפֶּר עַל הַקֺּדֶשׁ מִטֻּמְאוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל. מַאי וְכִפֶּר עַל הַקֺּדֶשׁ. אֶלָּא א"ר אֶלְעָזָר, הָא תָּנֵינָן, חַיָּיבַיָּא עַבְדִּין פְּגִימוּתָא לְעֵילָּא, וּמִתְעָרִין דִּינִין, וְגַרְמִין לְאִסְתַּאֲבָא מַקְדְּשָׁא. וְחִוְיָא תַּקִּיפָא שָׁארִי לְאִתְגַּלָּאָה. וּכְדֵין דִּינִין מִתְעָרִין בְּעָלְמָא, וּבְהַאי יוֹמָא, בָּעֵי כַּהֲנָא לְדַכְּאָה כֺּלָּא, וּלְאִתְעַטְּרָא כִּתְרָא קַדִּישָׁא דִּילֵיהּ, דְּהִיא רֵישָׁא דְּמַלְכָּא. בְּגִין דְּיֵיתֵי מַלְכָּא לְאַשְׁרָאָה בְּמַטְרוֹנִיתָא, וְכַד רֵישָׁא דְּמַלְכָּא נָטִיל, כֺּלָּא נָטִיל, וְיֵיתֵי לְאִזְדַּוְּוגָא בְּמַטְרוֹנִיתָא וּלְאַתְעֲרָא חֵידוּ וּבִרְכָּאן בְּעָלְמָא.
253. Rabbi Yosi said: If so, it is pleasing to the wicked to become harming forces in the world. Where is the punishment of Gehenom and where is the bad that awaits them in that world? Rabbi Chiya replied: We have learned and established that many prosecutors are ready to receive the souls of the wicked at the time they depart the world and deliver them to Gehenom. They receive three punishments daily in Gehenom. Later, DEMONS join them and the souls go, hover over the world and mislead the wicked people against whom repentance has been closed. Then they are returned to Gehenom to be punished there - and this continues daily.
253. אָמַר רִבִּי יוֹסֵי, אִי הָכִי טַב לְהוּ לְחַיָּיבַיָּא דְּאִתְעַבְּדִין מַזִּיקִין בְּעָלְמָא, אָן הוּא עוֹנְשָׁא דְּגֵיהִנָּם. אָן הוּא בִּישָׁא דִּזְמִינָא לְהוֹן בְּהַהוּא עָלְמָא. אָמַר רִבִּי חִיָּיא, הָכִי תָּנֵינָן, וְהָא אוֹקִימְנָא מִלֵּי, נַפְשָׁתָא דְּרַשִׁיעַיָּיא בְּשַׁעֲתָא דְּנָפְקִין מֵעָלְמָא, כַּמָה גַּרְדִּינֵי נִמוּסִין מִזְדַּמְּנֵי לְקַבְּלָא לְהוּ, וּלְאַעְלָאָה לְהוּ לְגֵּיהִנָם, וְעַאָלִין לְהוּ בִּתְלַת דִּינִין בְּכָל יוֹמָא, בַּגֵיהִנָּם. לְבָתַר מִזְדַּוְּוגֵי בְּהוּ, וְאַזְלִין וְשָׁאטִין בְּעָלְמָא, וּמַטְעָן לְהוּ לְרַשִׁיעַיָּיא, לְאִינּוּן דְּקָא אַסְתִּים תְּשׁוּבָה מִקַּמַּיְיהוּ. לְבָתַר תַּיְיבִין לְהוּ לְגֵּיהִנָם, וְאִתְדְּנוּן תַּמָּן, וְכַךְ בְּכָל יוֹמָא.
259. These Nefashot of the righteous are in this world to protect living PEOPLE. This is known as Nefesh. It does not depart this world and is present in this world to watch and know about and to protect the generation. The friends say that the deceased are aware of distress in the world and the punishment of the wicked in the land is by that NEFESH, as it is written, "That Nefesh shall be cut off from his people" (Vayikra 7:20).
259. וְאִינּוּן נַפְשָׁן דְּצַדִּיקַיָּיא, מִשְׁתַּכְּחִין בְּהַאי עָלְמָא, לְאַגָּנָא עַל חַיָיא, וְהַאי אִקְרֵי נֶפֶשׁ, וְדָא לָא אִסְתָּלְקָא מֵהַאי עָלְמָא, וּשְׁכִיחָא בְּהַאי עָלְמָא, לְאִסְתַּכְּלָא וּלְמִנְדַּע וּלְאַגָּנָא עַל דָּרָא. וְהַאי הוּא דְּאָמְרוּ חַבְרַיָּיא, דְּמֵתֵי יַדְעֵי בְּצַעֲרָא דְּעָלְמָא. וְעוֹנְשָׁא דְּחַיָּיבִין דִּי בְּאַרְעָא, בְּהַאי הוּא, דִּכְתִּיב וְנִכְרְתָה הַנֶּפֶשׁ הַהִיא מֵעַמֶּיהָ.
271. Rabbi Chizkiyah and Rabbi Yesa left. They said surely when there are no righteous men in the world, the world will survive only by the merits of the deceased. Rabbi Yesa said: When the world needs rain, why do people go to the deceased TO PRAY? Does it not say about "one who inquires of the dead" that it is prohibited? He replied: You have not perceived the wing of the bird in Eden, REFERRING TO THE SECRET OF BINAH, MEANING YOU HAVE NOT ATTAINED THE LEVEL OF BINAH, SINCE THE VERSE "one who inquires of the dead" literally means the dead, denoting the world's evildoers from the idolatrous nations that are always dead, AS THE WICKED EVEN DURING THEIR LIFETIME ARE CALLED DEAD. But about Yisrael, who are truly righteous, Solomon said, "So I praised the dead that are already dead" (Kohelet 4:2), those that have already died at a different time, MEANING THEY GAVE THEMSELVES FOR THE TORAH, but not this time. They have already died, and now they are alive.
271. קָמוּ רִבִּי חִזְקִיָּה וְר' יֵיסָא וְאַזְלוּ. אַמְרֵי, וַדַּאי בְּשַׁעֲתָא דְּזַכָּאִין לָא אִשְׁתְּכָחוּ בְּעָלְמָא, עָלְמָא לָא מִתְקַיְּימָא אֶלָּא בְּגִינֵיהוֹן דְּמֵתַיָּיא. אָמַר ר' יֵיסָא, בְּשַׁעֲתָא דְּאִצְטְרִיךְ עָלְמָא לְמִטְרָא, אֲמַאי אַזְלֵינָן לְגַבֵּיהוֹן דְּמֵתַיָּיא, וְהָא כְּתִיב וְדוֹרֵשׁ אֶל הַמֵּתִים וְאָסִיר. אָ"ל עַד כָּאן לָא חֲמֵיתָא גַּדְפָּא דְּצִפָּרָא דְּעֵדֶן. וְדוֹרֵשׁ אֶל הַמֵּתִים, אֶל הַמֵּתִים דַּיְיקָא. דְּאִינּוּן חַיָּיבֵי עָלְמָא, דְּאִינּוּן מֵעַמִּין עע"ז, דְּאִשְׁתְּכָחוּ תָּדִיר מֵתִים. אֲבָל יִשְׂרָאֵל דְּאִינּוּן זַכָּאֵי קְשׁוֹט, שְׁלֹמֺה קְרָא עָלַיְיהוּ וְשַׁבֵּחַ אֲנִי אֶת הַמֵּתִים שֶׁכְּבָר מֵתוּ, בְּזִמְנָא אָחֳרָא וְלָא הַשְׁתָּא. שֶׁכְּבָר מֵתוּ, וְהַשְׁתָּא אִינּוּן חַיִּין.
290. "After the doings of the land of Egypt:" Rabbi Chiya said, "That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it" (Iyov 38:13). We have learned that the Holy One, blessed be He, in the future will cleanse His land, MALCHUT, from all the defilement of the idolatrous nations that defiled it, just as one takes hold of a garment and shakes out from it all the filth, referring to all THE WICKED buried in the Holy Land. SO HE WILL SHAKE OUT THE LAND in order to cast them out and IN ORDER to purify the Holy Land, DENOTING MALCHUT, from the Other Side. It is as if it was sustaining the other ministers of the nations, from whom it received defilement in order to guide them. And He will cleanse it and remove THE MINISTERS OF THE NATIONS to the outside.
290. כְּמַעֲשֵׂה אֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם וְגוֹ,' רִבִּי חִיָּיא פָּתַח, לֶאֱחוֹז בְּכַנְפוֹת הָאָרֶץ וְגוֹ,' תָּאנָא, זַמִּין קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא לְדַכְּאָה לְאַרְעֵיהּ, מִכָּל מְסַאֲבוּתָא דְּעַמִּין עע"ז, דְּסָאִיבוּ לָהּ. כְּהַאי מַאן דְּאָחִיד בְּטָלִיתֵיהּ, וְאַנְעַר טִנּוּפָא מִנֵּיהּ. וְכָל אִינּוּן דְּאִתְקְבָרוּ בְּאַרְעָא קַדִּישָׁא, לְמִשְׁדֵּי לוֹן לְבַר, וּלְדַכְּאָה אַרְעָא קַדִּישָׁא מִסִּטְרָא אָחֳרָא, כִּבְיָכוֹל דַּהֲוָה מַתְּזָנָא לִשְׁאָר רַבְרֵבֵי עַמִּין, וּלְקַבְּלָא מְסַאֲבוּתָא דִּלְהוֹן, וּלְדַבְּרָא לוֹן. וְזַמִּין לְדַכְּאָה לָהּ לְאַעְבְּרָא לוֹן לְבַר.
294. Rabbi Yitzchak said: Because of this, whoever brings into the land any of the evil beings or other domains defiles the land. Woe is to him, woe to his soul, as the Holy Land will not receive him after that. Of him, it is written, "The sinners will be consumed out of the earth" (Tehilim 104:35) in this world and the World to Come. Then, "the wicked will be no more" (Ibid.) during the resurrection of the dead. Then "Bless you Hashem, my soul, Haleluyah" (Ibid.).
294. א"ר יִצְחָק, בְּגִינֵי כַּךְ, כָּל מַאן דְּאַעְבָּר מֵאִינּוּן זִינִין בִּישִׁין, אוֹ רְשׁוּתָא אָחֳרָא בְּאַרְעָא, אַרְעָא אִסְתְּאָבַת, וַוי לֵיהּ לְהַהוּא גְּבַר, וַוי לְנַפְשֵׁיהּ, דְּהָא אַרְעָא קַדִּישָׁא לָא מְקַבְּלָא לֵיהּ לְבָתַר. עָלֵיהּ כְּתִיב, יִתַּמּוּ חַטָּאִים מִן הָאָרֶץ, בעה"ז, ובעה"ב, וּרְשָׁעִים עוֹד אֵינָם, בִּתְחִיַּית הַמֵּתִים, כְּדֵין בָּרֲכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת יְיָ' הַלְלוּיָהּ.
316. At that time, the sound that is emitted from those girded with swords, NAMELY THE SIXTY WARRIORS, breaks eighteen large mountains. No one lends his ear, everyone is blind and has a closed heart. There is no one to see that this construction is about to shatter. 316. בְּהַהוּא זִמְנָא, קָלָא דְּנָפִיק מֵאִינּוּן דַּחֲגִירֵי חַרְבָּא, מְבָקַע תִּמְנֵיסָר טוּרִין רַבְרְבִין, וְלֵית מַאן דְּיַרְכִּין אוּדְנֵיהּ. כֻּלְּהוּ עָלְמָא סְתִימִין עַיְינִין, אֲטִימִין לִבָּא, לֵית מַאן דְּיַשְׁגַּח דְּהָא בִּנְיָינָא לִסְתּוֹר כַּד עַבְדִּין עוֹבָדָן דְּלָא מִתְכַּשְּׁרָן, סָאטִין מֵאָרְחָא דְּתַקְּנָא, יְמִינָא אַעְדֵּי, וּשְׂמָאלָא שַׁלְטָא, כְּדֵין עֶרְיָין אִשְׁתְּכָחוּ. וַוי לְחַיָּיבַיָּא דְּגַרְמִין דָּא בְּעָלְמָא, דְּהָא לָא מִתְבָּרְכִין לְעֵילָּא, עַד דְּיִשְׁתְּצוּן אִינּוּן לְתַתָּא. הה"ד וּרְשָׁעִים עוֹד אֵינָם בָּרֲכִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת יְיָ' הַלְלוּיָהּ. 319. And the Holy One, blessed be He, praises the Congregation of Yisrael like a rose, and we have already explained why HE PRAISED HER as a rose. Rabbi Yehuda said: When righteous men increase in the world, the Congregation of Yisrael, DENOTING MALCHUT, raises good fragrance BEING THE SECRET OF THE ILLUMINATION OF CHOCHMAH THAT SHINES FROM BELOW UPWARD AS FRAGRANCE, and is blessed WITH CHASSADIM from the Holy King, and her face shines. But when the wicked increase in the world, it is as if the Congregation of Yisrael does not raise up the good fragrance, and tastes from the bitter FEEDING of the Other Side. Then it is written, "And cast down from heaven (to) earth..." (Eichah 2:1), MEANING THE COUPLING OF ZEIR ANPIN CALLED HEAVEN AND MALCHUT CALLED EARTH HAS BEEN DISBANDED, and her face is dark.
319. וְקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא מְשַׁבַּח לָהּ לִכ"י כְּשׁוֹשַׁנָּה, וְהָא אוֹקִימְנָא מִלֵי, אֲמַאי כְּשׁוֹשַׁנָּה, וְהָא אִתְּמַר. ר' יְהוּדָה אָמַר, בְּשַׁעֲתָא דְּאַסְגִּיאוּ זַכָּאֵי בְּעָלְמָא, כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל סַלְּקָא רֵיחִין טָבִין, וּמִתְבָּרְכָא מִמַּלְכָּא קַדִּישָׁא, וְאַנְפָּהָא נְהִירִין. וּבְזִמְנָא דְּאַסְגִּיאוּ חַיָּיבִין בְּעָלְמָא, כִּבְיָכוֹל כ"י לָא סַלְּקָא רֵיחִין טָבִין, וְאַטְעָמַת מִסִּטְרָא אָחֳרָא מְרִירָא. כְּדֵין, כְּתִיב הִשְׁלִיךְ מִשָּׁמַיִם אֶרֶץ וְגוֹ,' וְאַנְפָּהָא חֲשוֹכָן.
320. Rabbi Yosi said, when righteous men multiply in the world, it is written, "His left hand is under my head, and his right hand embraces me" (Shir Hashirim 2:6), MEANING THE RIGHT AND THE LEFT JOIN IN UNITY, ONE WITH ANOTHER. When the wicked multiply in the world, it is written, "He has drawn back His right hand from before the enemy" (Eichah 2:3), AND THE LEFT RULES WITHOUT THE RIGHT. THEN ALL JUDGMENTS ARE POURED DOWN FROM IT. Rabbi Chizkiyah said, We understand it from here, WHERE IT IS WRITTEN, "and a whisperer separates close friends" (Mishlei 16.28), meaning that the King separates from the Queen, BECAUSE OF THE EVIL MAN CALLED WHISPERER. This is the meaning of the verse, "The nakedness of your father, or the nakedness of your mother, shall you not uncover" MEANING YOU SHOULD NOT CAUSE THE UNCOVERING OF JUDGMENTS ABOVE TO THE NURTURING OF THE OTHER SIDE THROUGH WHICH A SPLIT IN THE HOLY UNION WILL OCCUR.
320. רִבִּי יוֹסֵי אָמַר, בְּשַׁעֲתָא דְּאַסְגִּיאוּ זַכָּאִין בְּעָלְמָא, כְּתִיב שְׂמֺאלוֹ תַּחַת לְרֺאשִׁי וִימִינוֹ תְּחַבְּקֵנִי. וּבְזִמְנָא דְּאַסְגִּיאוּ חַיָּיבִין בְּעָלְמָא, כְּתִיב הֵשִׁיב אָחוֹר יְמִינוֹ. רִבִּי חִזְקִיָּה אָמַר מֵהָכָא, וְנִרְגָּן מַפְרִיד אַלּוּף, כְּלוֹמַר פָּרִישׁ מַלְכָּא מִן מַטְרוֹנִיתָא, הה"ד עֶרְוַת אָבִיךָ וְעֶרְוַת אִמְּךָ לֹא תְגַלֵּה.
348. "Nor does a fool understand this (Heb. zot)," MEANING they do not look into nor know the practices of "zot," MEANING MALCHUT REFERRED TO AS ZOT, in the world. Even though THE HOLY ONE, BLESSED BE HE, judges the world with His Judgments and PEOPLE see the Judgments of Zot, they come upon the righteous people and do not affect the guilty evildoers who transgress the words of Torah, as it is written, "When the wicked spring like grass..." (Ibid. 8). They inherit this world in all aspects and harsh penalties do not affect them, YET PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW WHY. Unless King David revealed this at the end of the verse, they would not know, as it is said, "That they shall be destroyed forever" (Ibid). HE PAYS THEM REWARD FOR THEIR GOOD DEEDS IN THIS WORLD in order to obliterate them from the World to Come. They will be THERE dust under the feet of the righteous, as it is written, "And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet" (Malachi 3:21).
348. וּכְסִיל לֹא יָבִין אֶת זֺאת, דְּלָא מִסְתָּכַל וְלָא יָדַע נִימוּסֵי דְּזֺאת בְּעָלְמָא. דְּע"ג דְּדָאִין עָלְמָא בְּדִינוֹי וְחַמָאן לְדִינוֹי דְּהַאי זֺאת, דְּמָטָאן עַל בְּנֵי נָשָׁא דְּאִינּוּן זַכָּאִין, וְלָא מָטָאן עַל רַשִׁיעֲיָיא, חַיָּיבִין, דְּעַבְרִין עַל פִּתְגָּמֵי אוֹרַיְיתָא, דִּכְתִּיב בִּפְרוֹחַ רְשָׁעִים כְּמוֹ עֵשֶׂב וְגוֹ.' דְּהַאי עָלְמָא יָרְתִין לֵיהּ בְּכָל סִטְרוֹי, וְדִינִין לָא מָטוּן עָלוֹי בְּהַאי עָלְמָא. וְאִלְמָלֵא דְּדָוִד מַלְכָּא אוֹדְעֵיהּ בְּסוֹפֵיהּ דִּקְרָא, לָא יַדְעֵינָן, דִּכְתִּיב לְהִשָּׁמְדָם עֲדֵי עַד, לְשֵׁיצָאָה לְהוֹן מֵהַהוּא עָלְמָא, וּלְמֶהֱוֵי עַפְרָא תְּחוֹת רַגְלֵיהוֹן דְּצַדִּיקַיָּיא, דִּכְתִּיב וְעַסּוֹתֶם רְשָׁעִים כִּי יִהְיוּ אֵפֶר תַּחַת כַּפּוֹת רַגְלֵיכֶם.
396. We have learned that Rabbi Yosi said: It is written, "I am Hashem" (Vayikra 18:30), MEANING I am Hashem, who will give good reward for the righteous in the World to Come. I am Hashem who will take revenge upon the wicked in the World to Come, MEANING upon those about whom it is written, "That have rebelled against Me" (Yeshayah 66:24). HE QUESTIONS: It is written, "I am Hashem," WHICH POINTS TO THE QUALITY OF MERCY and it is written, "I kill, and I make alive" (Devarim 32:39), WHICH POINTS TO THE QUALITY OF JUDGMENT. HE ANSWERS: Even though I have the quality of Mercy, the evildoers convert Me to the quality of Judgment. We have learned that Yud Hei Vav Hei Elohim is a full name. YUD HEI VAV HEI STANDS FOR MERCY AND ELOHIM FOR JUDGMENT, MEANING if they merit it, then it is Yud Hei Vav Hei. If they do not merit, it is Elohim. Rabbi Shimon said, The evildoers cause a defect above. What is the defect? It is, as we established, a real defect as explained EARLIER.
396. תָּאנָא, א"ר יוֹסֵי, מַאי דִּכְתִּיב אֲנִי יְיָ.' אֲנִי יְיָ:' עָתִיד לִיתֵּן שָׂכָר טוֹב לַצַדִּיקִים לֶעָתִיד לָבֺא. אֲנִי יְיָ' עָתִיד לְהִפָּרַע מִן הָרְשָׁעִים לֶעָתִיד לָבֺא. אִינּוּן דִּכְתִּיב בְּהוּ הַפּוֹשְׁעִים בִּי. כְּתִיב אֲנִי יְיָ,' וּכְתִיב אֲנִי אָמִית וַאֲחַיֶּה. אעפ"י שֶׁאֲנִי בְּמִדַּת הָרַחֲמִים, הָרְשָׁעִים הוֹפְכִים אוֹתִי לְמִדַּת הַדִין. דְּתַנְיָא, שֵׁם מָלֵא: יְיָ' אֱלֹהִים. זָכוּ יְיָ,' וְאִי לָאו אֱלֹהִים. א"ר שִׁמְעוֹן, חַיָּיבִין עַבְדֵי פְּגִימוּתָא לְעֵילָּא. מַאי פְּגִימוּתָא כְּמָה דְּאוֹקִימְנָא פְּגִימוּתָא מַמָּשׁ, וְהָא אִתְּמַר.
